Can’t believe it.

One of my guilty pleasures is MTV’s “Randy Jackson presents America’s Best Dance Crew”.  I love this show.  I have always liked this sort of entertainment, probably because it’s something I would love to do, but my coordination chip was damaged upon assembly.  It’s just not in my programming.

First season, my top two crews were Kaba Modern and Jabbawockeez … Kaba didn’t make it into America’s top two, though, and made it only to the top three.  Scandalous!  Jabbawockeez was crowned America’s Best and I was happy enough with that.

Then, second season started officially over a month ago, and I really can’t say I have a top two, because I really like a lot of them, so I don’t know who would rank second.  Probably Boogie Bots, only because they’re into Transformers and robotic dance (completely awesome).  My number one crew this season has been “A.S.I.I.D.” (And So It Is Done).  One of their crew members is hearing impaired and that’s amazing that he goes out there and dances like that.  Blows my mind.  Changes your perspective, you know?  Last week, I voted 81 times for them.  “Vote as much as u like”, my response text message said.  So, I did.  I was sure they were going to be in the top half as they’ve been every week since the season started.

But WTF?

They were in the bottom three and then went up again SuperCrew (a B-boy group)  for the dance-off … and I have to admit, as far as routines go, SuperCrew’s was pretty awesome and A.S.I.I.D.’s wasn’t quite there.  But if that same face-off had occurred during any of the previous episodes, A.S.I.I.D. would have totally blew them away.  Apparently that doesn’t count on a week to week show.  I’m starting to wish it was a little more like American Idol where they all do their thing, and America has the final say.  I bet A.S.I.I.D. was not in the bottom spot.

Now, I can only hope that MTV will discover some big voting mishap and bring them back.
